We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CNA Support Staff to join our team at Wellstar Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Responsibilities- Provide patient care under the direction of the RN, including hygiene, nutrition, elimination, and physical comfort measures.
- Assist with daily living activities and comfort measures to promote a positive patient experience.
- Perform basic patient care functions, such as phlebotomy, simple treatments, dressing changes, oral suctioning, and discontinuing Foley catheters.
- Transport unit supplies, patient care supplies, medications, and equipment as assigned.
- Document patient care in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and communicate patient care concerns/problems/emergencies to the RN or Charge Nurse in a timely manner.
- Participate in hourly patient rounding, answer telephone and call lights promptly, and notify appropriate individuals of need for follow-up.
- Support initiatives of the healthcare team, participate in unit performance improvement initiatives, and maintain equipment, such as blood pressure machines and glucometers.
- Graduation from a State-approved program for Certified Nursing Assistants or Patient Care Tech Program.
- Clear verbal and written communication, specifically ability to document.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and effectively communicate with the Registered Nurse and ancillary team.
