Job Summary

Amwaste LLC is seeking a skilled CDL driver to join our team as a Residential Waste Collector. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a heavy truck along a designated route, collecting and disposing of waste in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspection: Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working order, reporting any safety issues on standard reports.
  • Route Operation: Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route, reading route sheets and following maps to service each customer as identified.
  • Customer Interaction: Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others on a daily basis to ensure all customer routes are serviced in a timely and professional manner.
  • Waste Management: Identify unsatisfactory waste containers, tag containers in accordance with applicable departmental procedures, and continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste.
  • Accident Response: Clean area around an accidental waste spill, ensuring adherence to all applicable safety standards and policies.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Continuously monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure it is operationally ready at all times, minimizing downtime and cleaning waste from the packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip.
  • Reporting and Productivity: Complete required route/productivity sheets, DVIR, and other reports as required, maintaining adherence to required productivity standards for the department.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all required safety policies and procedures, performing other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Experience: Two years of prior experience driving heavy commercial trucks.
  • Qualifications: Class B CDL.
