Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Teacher - Intensive Needs to join our team at Alaska Teacher Placement. As a Special Education Teacher - Intensive Needs, you will be responsible for providing educational support to students with intensive needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with intensive needs.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms and small group settings.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive educational experience for all students.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of students with intensive needs.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress and involve them in the educational process.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students with intensive needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
