Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team at Atlanta Heart Specialists. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform CT and CTA scans according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Manage CT schedule workflow and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Produce high-quality images for interpretations and reports.
- Work effectively with the front office to maximize schedules and patient flow.
- Explain and prepare patients for CT exams, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Recognize emergent patient conditions and take appropriate actions.
- Perform venipuncture and administer contrast materials as needed.
- Take all required safety measures to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff.
- Monitor equipment performance and arrange for repairs or maintenance as necessary.
- Interface with other departments to share patient information and coordinate care.
- Order supplies for the CT department and assist with ACR reaccreditation.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Registered with the ARRT and one year of experience preferred.
- Advanced certification in CT preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
