Job Summary:
Gpac is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for performing service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer owned equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on ag equipment, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
- Maintain the condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment, adhering to high standards of quality and safety.
- Ensure a clean and organized work area, promoting a culture of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and others in the workplace.
- Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Account for all time and material used in performing assigned duties, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience performing service repairs, with a proven track record of success.
- Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment, following Technical Manual procedures.
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair, with a strong understanding of Ag/Farming principles.
- Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes, ensuring safe and efficient use.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues and clients.
