Job Summary

The Transport Paramedic plays a critical role in providing advanced critical care during medical transports. As the first point of contact in emergency situations, this individual partners with firefighters and police to evaluate the scene and provide life-saving support. The Transport Paramedic operates emergency medical vehicles, evaluates patient conditions, and administers treatments to ensure optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and operate emergency medical vehicles
  • Evaluate patient conditions and establish the right course of treatment
  • Provide emergency medical treatment, including invasive procedures, to injured or sick patients
  • Communicate patient data and condition to medical personnel at emergency treatment facilities
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of employment
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 90 days of employment
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 90 days of employment
  • Emergency Medical Paramedic certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Associate's degree or certificate in a related field
