Job Overview

The Client Services Coordinator acts as the primary point of contact for clients and visitors at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital and the Veterinary College. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate registration of both Small and Large Animal Patients at the facility. The Coordinator will facilitate communication between the College and Hospital, serving as a vital link for emergencies within the premises. Interaction with security personnel is also a key responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the registration, admission, and discharge processes for patients.
  • Process invoices and collect payments from clients efficiently.
  • Remain composed and responsive during patient emergencies, ensuring timely contact with necessary personnel.
  • Perform general office tasks such as faxing, copying, scanning, and uploading medical records.
  • Provide occasional after-hours support via telephone as required.
  • Maintain effective communication with referring veterinarians, clients, faculty, staff, and students.
  • Uphold a calm and friendly demeanor at all times, even in high-pressure situations.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and the Veterinary Teaching Hospital to enhance the overall client experience.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should possess prior experience in a professional office setting, showcasing strong communication and customer service abilities. The ability to perform under pressure and maintain a pleasant demeanor is essential, along with effective multitasking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a busy office environment managing multiple phone lines with direct public interaction is preferred. Familiarity with veterinary practices and medical terminology is advantageous.

Compensation

This position is classified under Pay Band 3, with a starting wage of $15.33 per hour.

Additional Information

The selected candidate will be required to undergo a criminal conviction check.
