Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Charge Registered Nurse to join our Neuro-MedSurg team at Wellstar North Fulton Hospital. This is a full-time night shift position that requires a strong clinical background and leadership skills.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee the daily activities of the unit on an assigned shift to ensure successful and safe delivery of care.
  • Practice in a clinical environment that is administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders and is supported through the WellStar Shared Governance Model.
  • Participate in the establishment and maintenance of practices that ensure excellence in patient care, efficient use of resources, and leadership tasks such as staff schedules, unit patient flow, and subject matter expertise for clinical concerns.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care and promote a respectful, inclusive clinical environment.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, research, and evidence-based practice to promote safe and quality patient care.
  • Ensure patient/family/staff confidentiality and corporate compliance requirements, including completing all required mandatory education and proficiencies.
  • Develop and implement protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes, such as reducing readmission rates and adverse events.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing as an Associate Degree/Diploma Nurse or Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor certification and Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact licensure.
  • Minimum 1 year nursing experience, with 2 years preferred, and experience as relief charge with clinical expertise preferred.
