Position: Vice President of Underwriting Governance
Westfield Insurance is seeking a dedicated professional to lead and oversee the development and execution of comprehensive underwriting review strategies across various business lines, including external delegated underwriting authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement essential governance controls for all specialty insurance lines, focusing on Financial and Professional Lines, Commercial Property, and Excess Casualty.
- Manage the onboarding process for new specialty insurance opportunities, including Delegated Arrangements and new business units.
- Drive the execution of special projects within the Specialty Insurance Segment, encompassing Compliance and Regulatory activities, product development, and more.
- Collaborate with the Internal Audit department to ensure adherence to governance standards.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Advanced knowledge of specialty insurance products and coverage, ideally from a background in underwriting or claims adjustment.
- A proven ability to foster positive relationships with underwriters and internal departments.
- Strong analytical skills and the capacity to navigate complex problems effectively.
- A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience in specialty lines insurance.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and capable of handling confidential information with discretion. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with a commercial mindset and the ability to work independently.
