Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Marriott International Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Responding to guest repair requests and resolving maintenance issues with minimal supervision
  • Performing preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
  • Inspecting tools, equipment, or machines to identify potential issues
  • Carrying equipment and supplies as needed
  • Maintaining maintenance inventory and requisitioning parts and supplies as required

You will also be responsible for:

  • Communicating with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues
  • Displaying proficiency in one or more of the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building management
  • Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Troubleshooting and repairing equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Programming TVs and performing general housekeeping and engineering-related duties

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and vocational or technical background
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
