Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Construction Engineer Intern to join our Construction team. The successful candidate will support the Project Management team in the management of renewable energy generation projects, including construction budget development, preliminary engineering, and engineering design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Project Management team in the management of renewable energy generation projects, including construction budget development, preliminary engineering, and engineering design.
  • Assist the Construction Manager and Construction Engineers in the coordination of project activities.
  • Support the non-conformities, root cause analysis, and lessons learned procedure in coordination with the Project Managers and Acciona Project Teams.
  • Contribute to the creation of monthly reporting requirements for internal and external customers, as well as KPI reporting.
  • Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly project meetings, maintaining all job-specific meeting minutes and necessary logs.
  • Develop and maintain accurate documentation and records associated with the construction project execution, including request for information, submittals, change orders, drawings, and job books.
  • Support the Construction Team in the review and preparation of RFPs to be submitted to contractors, reviewing and evaluating estimates.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
  • Enrollment in a B.S. in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Ability to work on varied activities, managing multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technically astute and capable of expertise-based problem solving.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to produce high-quality outputs.
  • Ability to make decisions based on accepted quality standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Effective team-worker who can work independently when required.
  • Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to learn from experienced engineers.
  • High level of computer literacy, including using computer applications such as email, internet, MS Office, etc.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel (if applicable).
  • Valid driver's license.
