Job Summary:

The Shift Leader position at United Refining is an entry-level developmental role designed to train employees to become Assistant Managers. As a Shift Leader, you will assist the location Manager and Assistant Manager in store operations and help develop new employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer exceptional customer service and greet customers with a smile and hello.
  • Suggest merchandise purchases to customers and learn to operate the cash register and additional required equipment with accuracy.
  • Price, stock, and face merchandise, including gondolas, shelving, counters, walk-in coolers, upright coolers, and backroom storage areas.
  • Manage product storage, maintenance, and rotation activities to avoid damage or spoilage.
  • Maintain the store in accordance with maintenance policies and conform to Health Department rules and regulations.
  • Account for all shift and daily transactions and present a neat and clean appearance.
  • Learn and complete store required paperwork and perform other duties assigned by the Store Manager or District Manager.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Dependable, independent transportation
  • Ability to multi-task, organizational, and communication skills

Work Environment:

The Shift Leader will work in a typical retail convenience store setting, requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, twist, stand, walk, or sit for prolonged periods.
