The Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist II position is an experienced technologist who completes a variety of routine to highly complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including common and special ultrasound exams of high difficulty, including vascular ultrasound exams.
Key Responsibilities- Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including common and special ultrasound exams, with a focus on high-quality images and patient care.
- Assists physicians with diagnostic and special ultrasound procedures, including sterile technique.
- Mentors Ultrasound Technologist I and students to help build confidence in skills, knowledge, and abilities.
- Collaborates with the patient care team to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service.
- Provides accurate explanations and instructions to patients and family members at an appropriate level.
- Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
- Three years' experience as a Ultrasound Technologist.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credentials in OB/GYN, Abdomen, and Breast.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
