KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure timely documentation of patient care and billing information in alignment with departmental protocols.
  • Maintain effective communication with colleagues and other healthcare providers, including physicians and nursing staff, to guarantee optimal patient outcomes.
  • Actively participate as a team member in patient care and provide mentorship to junior staff.
  • Assign specific patient care tasks to support personnel while ensuring appropriate communication and supervision as per regulatory guidelines.
  • Uphold clinical productivity benchmarks.
  • Enhance your clinical expertise through continuous professional development and education.
  • Engage in in-service training, staff meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and program development activities.
  • Stay vigilant regarding patient safety concerns within the clinical environment and assist in the upkeep of patient care equipment as necessary.
  • Adhere to patient confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy with a minimum of five years of experience, or a Master's/Doctorate degree from a CAPTE accredited program.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:

  • Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Michigan, with consideration for candidates who will obtain licensure shortly after application.
  • Current CPR certification or the ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe after hiring.
