Tulane University Staff is seeking a highly skilled Research Nurse to join our team. As a Research Nurse, you will play a critical role in managing RN responsibilities in the conduct of clinical trials and global oncology research within the Hematology/Oncology department.
Key Responsibilities- Manage RN responsibilities in the conduct of clinical trials, including screening, enrolling, and following study patients to ensure protocol compliance and close patient monitoring.
- Provide direct patient care for clinical trials subjects and collect data and source documentation, adverse event reporting, and maintenance of complete regulatory files.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of protocol requirements and good clinical practices as set forth by federal regulations.
- Act as a liaison between the patient, investigator, Institutional Review Board (IRB), and sponsor in carrying out RN responsibilities of the protocol.
- Acquire and maintain all required CITI training certificates and credentialing at all required institutions.
- RN with current licensure required, licensed through the State of Louisiana by date of hire.
- Bachelor's Degree required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing strongly desired.
- Certification as a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) is strongly desired.
- Computer/data entry experience desired.
Selected candidates must complete and pass a background check and an occupational health screening as a condition of employment. For identified jobs, a drug screening will also be required.
