Job Overview

This role is an exciting opportunity to join the LifePoint Health team as a Medical Assistant in our Cardiology department. About the Job

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to assist with patient assessments, treatments, and administrative duties. You will work closely with our healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with performing patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of a provider.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Maintain examination areas, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Troubleshoot equipment and medical supplies, stocking and cleaning as needed.
• Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, scheduling, and filing, as assigned by the practice leads or supervisors.

Requirements

We require a High School Diploma or Equivalent and previous medical experience, with knowledge of medical terminology preferred. You must possess critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Licenses: Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant required. Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
