Job Description

This Part-Time Certified Medical Assistant position involves performing administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician, PA, or nurse practitioner. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative duties include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, interacting with other providers, and data entry in various systems.
  • Clinical duties may include preparing and maintaining exam rooms, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by a clinician.
Requirements and Qualifications
  1. A High school graduate or equivalent required
  2. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting Program and evidence of current MA certification
  3. Minimum 4 years of clinical experience (preferably providing care to LGBTQ+ persons and/or people living with HIV)
  4. Experience using an electronic medical record system to schedule patient visits and document patient information preferably AthenaHealth
  5. Vaccine management, prior authorization, and insurance portal experience required
  6. Excellent phlebotomy skills required
  7. Ambulatory care experience required
