Mass General Brigham is seeking a Registered Nurse House Supervisor to oversee the clinical and operational aspects of patient care units during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:- Triage patients and coordinate critical and intermediate patient placement
- Facilitate admission to medical/surgical units and provide overview of capacity to nursing, physician, and administrative leadership
- Deploy clinical resources and coordinate staffing resources to respond to demand
- Collaborate with Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical Unit, and LDRP to expedite patient admissions
- Coordinate patient sitters on evening, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Provide clinical consultation to staff and assist in managing unit activity
- Act as a patient advocate and perform service recovery
- Initiate huddles with staff at beginning and end of shift to improve inter-departmental communication
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing
- Three to five years clinical nursing experience and demonstrated leadership ability required
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Critical Care experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required within one week of hire
- ACLS and PALS required upon hire
- TNCC preferred
