Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a skilled Truck Driver CDL A Yard to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a Class A CDL tractor trailer or comparable vehicle to transport goods to and from our yard.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload freight, and assist in the loading/unloading of freight as required by customers.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs, including hours of service, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Comply with all applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
  • Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Pass a Ryder drug test.
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
  • Pass a DOT physical.
  • Pass a Ryder road test.
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
