Job Summary:

The Care Manager-Assisted Living provides direct care to residents in our Assisted Living neighborhood, including activities of daily living, therapeutic activities programs, and restorative programs. This role requires a kind and caring individual who is passionate about working with seniors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assure the maximum quality of life for all residents by maintaining privacy, accommodating individual preferences, promoting independence, and encouraging participation in community activities and events.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor hygiene and assist as needed to ensure residents and their clothing are clean.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, including brushing hair, brushing teeth, trimming fingernails and toenails, and assisting with dressing or undressing.
  • Perform housekeeping and maintenance tasks, including folding and hanging clean clothing, removing soiled bedding, and replacing with clean linens.
  • Assist residents with using the bathroom and provide perineal care as needed.
  • May be required to provide, remove, and clean bedpans, urinal catheter bags, and bedside commodes.
  • Assist residents to the dining area for meals or provide meals in their room as required.
  • Document assistance provided to residents at the end of each shift.
Requirements:
  • Must be kind, caring, and possess a genuine desire to work with seniors.
  • Must have excellent verbal skills and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team-based environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and families.
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to clearly and proficiently communicate with people of all ages and abilities, displaying consideration of their rights and sensitivities.
  • Must be able to read and write English, and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must maintain a clean and well-groomed appearance and follow the dress code as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • Be in good health, and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
