Job Summary

CoxHealth is seeking a skilled Radiology Nurse to join our team. As a Radiology Nurse, you will play a critical role in the assessment, planning, and care of patients undergoing diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with radiologists and technologists to provide direct care to patients of all ages, before, during, and after radiology procedures and imaging.
  • Administer medications, monitor moderate sedation, and provide post-procedure education to patients.
  • Insert peripheral intravenous catheters and wear lead protective gear and a radiation dosimeter as required.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Previous nursing experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective leadership abilities and strong critical thinking/problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.

Licensure and Certification

  • RN license active in the state of Missouri.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • PALS certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
  • ACLS certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
