This full-time position is integral to maintaining a secure atmosphere for patients, staff, and visitors alike.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Protection of Individuals and Property:** Ensure the safety of all persons on the premises by actively monitoring and patrolling the facility to deter and prevent incidents of theft, vandalism, and other security breaches.
2. **Crisis Management:** Effectively de-escalate potentially volatile situations and respond promptly to emergencies, coordinating with local law enforcement when necessary.
3. **Surveillance and Reporting:** Conduct thorough investigations of suspicious activities and document incidents accurately in daily logs and reports.
4. **Access Control:** Manage entry points to the facility, ensuring that only authorized personnel are permitted access, thereby maintaining a secure environment.
5. **Emergency Response:** Participate as a key member of the emergency response team, responding to various codes and safety drills as required.
6. **Collaboration:** Work closely with hospital staff to support safety initiatives and provide assistance during critical situations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is essential.
