Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Clinic Director, the Rehabilitation Specialist will assess therapy requirements and develop individualized Physical Therapy plans for assigned patients. You will engage in various clinical activities and conduct both initial and ongoing evaluations in accordance with APTA standards and state regulations. The role includes creating a comprehensive Plan of Treatment for each patient, incorporating short- and long-term objectives, collaboration with other healthcare professionals, and ensuring active participation from patients and their caregivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute physical therapy programs focused on rehabilitation.
- Work closely with patients to facilitate optimal physical recovery.
- Assess the effectiveness of therapy treatments and communicate progress to patients.
- Document and maintain accurate records of patient care services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide holistic care.
- Support other facility staff as necessary to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient rehabilitation environment.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in physical therapy, rehabilitation, or a related field.
- Capability to manage a physically demanding workload.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
Education and Experience:
- Graduation from a Physical Therapy program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association or an equivalent foreign qualification.
- Licensure by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance or eligibility for licensure within six months of employment.
