Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrical Engineer (TEMPEST)-Journeyman to contribute to our Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation initiatives. This role is pivotal in ensuring the security and compliance of electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
A typical day in this role may involve:
- Designing, testing, and implementing TEMPEST solutions.
- Applying in-depth knowledge of TEMPEST standards to secure electronic systems against emanations.
- Evaluating and analyzing electronic systems to ensure adherence to TEMPEST specifications.
- Conducting TEMPEST testing and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and propose mitigation strategies.
- Preparing comprehensive TEMPEST documentation, including test plans and compliance reports.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate TEMPEST requirements into product designs.
- Staying abreast of emerging TEMPEST technologies and contributing to innovative solutions.
- Assisting in obtaining TEMPEST certifications for products and systems.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in TEMPEST engineering and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
- Familiarity with TEMPEST or applicable EMI standards.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance; a Secret Clearance is required to start.
Preferred Skills:
Ideal candidates will also have:
- Proficiency in TEMPEST testing equipment and software tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment:
The role requires working in an office setting, primarily at a desk using a computer. Employees may need to travel short distances within the site and may occasionally be required to drive government vehicles.
