Job Overview

At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island, we are seeking an experienced Lead Partnership Strategist to drive our donor and partnership development initiatives. This is a dynamic role that requires a strong understanding of fundraising strategies, donor engagement, and partnership building.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive donor and partnership development strategies aligned with our organization's goals. This will include identifying new funding opportunities, cultivating relationships with existing donors, and establishing strategic partnerships with corporations, foundations, and community organizations.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Lead Partnership Strategist will also be responsible for:

  • Strategic Development: Developing and implementing a comprehensive donor and partnership development strategy aligned with our organization's goals.
  • Donor Relations: Cultivating and maintaining relationships with existing donors, ensuring consistent communication and engagement.
  • Partnership Building: Establishing and nurturing strategic partnerships with corporations, foundations, and community organizations to enhance funding opportunities and collaborative initiatives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or partnership development within the nonprofit sector.
  • Proven track record of securing major gifts, hosting fundraising events, and developing successful partnerships.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location

This role is based in Long Island, New York.
