Job Title: Adjunct Instructor in Chemistry

Job Summary: Lincoln University is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor in Chemistry to teach undergraduate courses in Organic Chemistry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Organic Chemistry I & II and Organic Chemistry labs to undergraduate students.
  • Prepare labs for students and conduct them.
  • Grade lab reports and provide feedback to students.
  • Develop and administer quizzes, tests, and exams.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry (completed by the time of hire).
  • Previous experience teaching undergraduate labs and working with non-chemistry major students (Biology, Chemistry, Nursing) is an advantage.
  • Commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level, effective oral and written communication skills.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Capacity to make decisions supporting the department's mission and goals.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects, prioritizing based on departmental functionality.

Work Environment:

Work is primarily performed in a university campus environment, requiring a flexible schedule. The employee is subject to inside environmental conditions and protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes.
