Job Summary

Cirrus Aircraft is seeking a skilled Aircraft Technician to join our team in Duluth, Minnesota. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and overhauling aircraft to ensure airworthiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and repair aircraft structures and functional components, including rigging, surface controls, plumbing, and hydraulic fuel systems.
  • Examine engines and propeller systems for normal operation and make adjustments as required.
  • Test engine operation to locate the source of malfunction.
  • Replace or repair worn or damaged components, such as alternators, magnetos, propellers, ignition systems, fuel systems, etc.
  • Inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects.
  • Repair or replace defective engine parts, reassemble, and install.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including changing crankcase, oil filter, cleaning screens, lubricating moving parts, and checking brakes.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess necessary skills to remove engine from aircraft if needed.
  • Able to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, production illustrations, and other specifications to determine the identity, location, and relationship of aircraft parts.
  • Must be able to fill out work instructions properly, able to understand the planning flow, and be able to adjust and explain the planning procedures.
  • Must be able to understand all process specifications and pertinent reference information.
  • Must be proficient in completing forms necessary to generate work and changes to work orders, pick lists, drawings, and other related documents.
