Job Description:

Position: Oncology Nurse

Reports to: Oncology Nurse Manager

Summary: Provide specialized nursing care to patients with cancer and related conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and diagnoses.
  • Administer chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and other cancer treatments.
  • Monitor patients for side effects of cancer treatments and manage symptoms.
  • Educate patients and families about cancer, treatment options, and coping strategies.
  • Assist with procedures, such as bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, radiation therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
  • Associate's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of oncology.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
