Job Summary:

As a Civil Laborer at Matrix, you will play a vital role in supporting our construction and maintenance teams. This is a hands-on position that requires manual labor and attention to detail. You will work closely with experienced craftsmen and multi-craft workers to ensure the successful completion of various tasks and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual labor tasks, including digging, spreading, and leveling dirt and gravel.
• Assist in the erection of scaffolding and select the proper tools for the task at hand.
• Maintain janitorial, drinking water, and hand wash stations.
• Evaluate information using measurable standards and clean work areas, tools, and equipment as necessary.
• Develop experience in a variety of areas and perform duties as directed by craftsmen, multi-craft workers, or senior craftsmen.
• Follow specific directions in a variety of duties, which may often change.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required in the performance of this job.

Requirements:

• Ability to work skillfully with hands, lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• User knowledge of scaffolding and ladders.
• General knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Obtain and maintain an active status within a drug testing program.
• Site-specific training.

Physical/Special Requirements:

• Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work from elevated or uneven surfaces.
• Work involves standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in Confined Spaces.
• Work may include frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and stooping, and occasional climbing onto equipment and/or trailers.
• Requires visual ability sufficient to perform job duties. Work normally requires eye-hand coordination.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

• Must be able to pass Labor proficiency testing at or above 70%.
• Must have six months or more of experience in construction/maintenance.
• Completed the Matrix Service Safety training, Client / Site specific training.
• To obtain and maintain an active status within the required drug testing program.
• Must Pass a Background Check.
