- High Mechanical Aptitude: Strong trouble-shooting skills and ability to work with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Electrical and Mechanical Knowledge: Solid understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics, as well as general knowledge of sensor operation and instrumentation devices.
- Wiring and Electrical Systems: Experience with wiring AC and DC systems using devices such as circuit breakers, motor protectors, contactors, relays, analog and digital sensors, thermocouples, motors, outlets, and switches.
- Material Properties and Fabrication: General knowledge of common material properties and strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques with common hand and power tools.
- System Understanding: Strong understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, and power transmission systems.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, with previous experience in a Mechanical Technician role and troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Skills: High mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, general understanding of stress and strain principles on different materials, basic understanding of wire diagrams, general knowledge of sensors and instrumentation devices, general understanding of motors, basic understanding of hydraulic systems, general knowledge of common material properties, and general knowledge of fabrication techniques with common hand power tools.
