Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Lexima. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining all hotel assets to an acceptable quality standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair hotel equipment, facilities, and systems, including HVAC and electrical.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and coordinate maintenance staff to ensure optimal asset performance.
  • Problem-Solving: Diagnose potential problems and operate within the hotel budget.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, including Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, and Fire Safety.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain and organize parts inventory, including receiving, labeling, and logging parts and fixtures.
  • Building Maintenance: Assist with building maintenance and complete work orders, such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and patching vinyl.
  • Storage and Safety: Maintain a safe work and storage area by cleaning and organizing designated storage areas.
  • Purchasing: Comply with hotel and brand purchasing procedures using nominated suppliers.
  • Collaboration: Assist other engineers with repairs and fill out daily paperwork.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 3 years of maintenance or engineering experience, preferably in a hotel establishment.
  • Skills: Basic skills in reading prints, schematics, and equipment operations instructions, as well as experience in maintenance or building trades.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with the public and other team members.
  • Physical Demands: Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
