Job Summary

As a Nurse Lead in our NICU department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of nursing professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team at Adventist Health White Memorial, a leading healthcare provider in the Los Angeles area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide unit-based leadership and collaborate with the Nurse Manager, Director, Physicians, and staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Supervise and direct the activities of nursing and ancillary personnel, utilizing professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
  • Ensure that all patients receive cost-effective, professional care that results in positive outcomes and high patient satisfaction, while maintaining the highest level of patient safety.
  • Assess and improve the quality of patient experience, working closely with the clinical team to implement systems and programs to facilitate staff members' ability to meet patient/family/physician needs.
  • Manage staffing requirements, assign staff to patients and patient care activities, and review and take action on requests to adjust schedules.
  • Coach and discipline personnel, including oral and written warnings, and suspension, and directly involved in decisions to hire and terminate unit personnel.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Master's Degree: Preferred
  • Five years' technical experience: Preferred
  • Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills: Required
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Preferred
  • Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification: Preferred
