Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will function under the clinical supervision of licensed physicians, providing diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare to patients in Inpatient environments. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain, evaluate, and interpret lab results, perform physical exams, and therapeutic procedures.
  • Assess medical clearance for new patient admissions and provide general medical care to various patient levels.
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations, including history and physical exams, and address acute and chronic primary care complaints.
  • Establish and document reasonable medical diagnoses, order diagnostic laboratory and radiology testing, and prescribe medications as appropriate.
  • Accept feedback and direction from the supervising physician, create and implement a medical plan of care, and perform timely documentation and billing.
Requirements
  • Valid Wisconsin APNP or PA-C License
  • Valid Wisconsin DEA
  • Minimum 1 year Internal Medicine experience
