Job Description

iSpace is a global leader in lunar resource development, specializing in designing and building lunar landers and rovers. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Flight Dynamics Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and flying all iSpace lunar mission trajectories, including on-console operations in Denver, CO for real-time orbit determination and maneuver planning. The role will also involve traveling to support iSpace's lunar missions from Tokyo MCC, including on-console shift work for at least 2 months between Dec 2024 – Apr 2025.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace/astronautical engineering, astrophysics, mathematics, or a similar field, with 3+ years of experience in flight dynamics, mission design/analysis, mission operations or a similar field. They will also have working knowledge of interplanetary mission design, understanding of ground-based spacecraft navigation techniques and statistical orbit determination, and experience with MONTE, STK, Copernicus, FreeFlyer, GMAT, or other astrodynamics toolsets.

The successful candidate will be a team player with strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, and will be able to work closely with the iSpace Mission Operations team to assist in the development of flight ConOps and flight operations plans and procedures.
