Job Description

Ring Container Technologies is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Optimization Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives, potentially involving travel to other locations.
  • Perform regular Predictive Maintenance tasks on equipment, including Air Leak Audits, Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, and Thermal Imaging, then review findings with the Maintenance Manager and initiate corrective actions.
  • Develop optimal production processes for all lines by conducting basic troubleshooting, making process adjustments, and repairs on machinery, as well as performing necessary setting adjustments on equipment.
  • Evaluate and ensure that all molds and molding machines operate at maximum efficiency.
  • Oversee change-over processes focusing on efficiency improvement.
  • Create process setup sheets and charts for new and current products.
  • Establish CQV protocols, including sample runs and action plans related to production machinery and processes.
  • Train team members and other department employees.
  • Integrate and maintain automated process data collection systems.
  • Implement automated alarming systems to notify the plant of down equipment.
  • Conduct research, justification, and implementation of cost-saving projects emphasizing safety, quality, and sustainability.
  • Lead initiatives in OEE, SMED, and sustainability for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain operator and maintenance training programs.
  • Analyze equipment downtime and operator reports, leading Root Cause Analysis initiatives to eliminate downtime or equipment variation.
  • Maintain TPM standards on all equipment.
  • Assist with equipment troubleshooting, repair, installation, change-over, and PM as needed.
  • Support the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of food safety, food defense, and quality systems to ensure compliance with third-party food safety standard guidelines (e.g. SQF or AIB).
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Technology, Electrical, Electronics, Electro-Mechanical, or certification in a similar technical area.
  • Demonstrated expertise in SPC, plastics, electrical, electronic hydraulics, mechanical, and pneumatic functions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, and intermediate math skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring/inspection equipment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to provide training to team members and other department employees.
Able to:
  • Work effectively in a team environment, taking direction and demonstrating flexibility with job assignments.
  • Motivate self and continuously learn through training.
