What is a Press Brake?
A press brake is a vital machine tool used for bending sheet and plate materials, predominantly in sheet metal work. It achieves precise bends by clamping the material between a corresponding punch and die, typically structured with two C-frames that support a movable beam and a stable table.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Press Brake machinery
- Adhere to company safety and quality protocols
- Perform additional tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Proficient in using calipers, squares, gauges, protractors, and other measuring instruments
- Strong mathematical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
