About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Dialysis team as a Team Lead. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and coordination of unit staffing, ensuring the implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Coordination: Assigns, directs, educates, and monitors dialysis nursing and supports staffing during assigned shift. Assesses daily dialysis patient care needs and develops and distributes patient care assignments.
  • Quality Patient Care: Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes for the dialysis patient. Evaluates the effectiveness of dialysis treatments and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
  • Quality Improvement: Participates in quality improvement activities to include collection of data for the dialysis unit's Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) plan and maintains ownership of regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Patient Education: Provides patient education/teaching applicable to the patient's medical condition.
  • Staff Development: May provide input for hiring, training, directing, developing, and evaluating staff.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
  • Experience: Minimum one year of registered nurse dialysis experience
Work Environment

This position will be float to three St. Louis area ministries: SSM Health DePaul Hospital, SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital—Lake Saint Louis, and SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital—St. Charles.
