Responsibilities

Your duties will include monitoring and ensuring timely responses to alarms. You will verify the accurate identification of basic rhythms, critical rhythms, and artifacts; maintain EKG monitor alarms, and respond to all alerts as necessary.
- Continuously observe all assigned monitors and respond to alarms swiftly and appropriately.
- Perform EKG interpretations, including: rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, waveform alterations, and rhythm analysis.
- Ensure that strip interpretations are confirmed by a registered nurse.
Qualifications
You are detail-oriented and organized, with a strong focus on customer service as a team member.
Minimum requirements:
- Completion and passing of EKG class for Monitor Technicians and required competencies on the educational platform within 30 days of starting the position, along with passing other tests/competencies as mandated by Select Medical.
Preferred qualifications that will enhance your success:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Paramedic, or RN nursing student with EKG training (LPNs are limited to working as telemetry technicians only).
