Job Description

CMT Technical Services, a leading provider of construction engineering management and consulting services, is seeking a highly skilled Special Inspector to join our team in Meridian, ID.

About the Role:

  • Inspect structural concrete, masonry, and steel construction projects to ensure compliance with relevant codes and specifications.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of construction materials, including concrete, masonry, and steel, to identify any defects or irregularities.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and structural engineers to ensure that construction projects meet the required standards.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and other relevant data.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to provide timely and accurate information.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Test and inspect construction materials, including concrete, masonry, and steel, to determine their quality and integrity.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure that construction projects meet the required standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve any issues or defects that may arise during construction.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and other relevant data.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • ICC certification in one or more areas, including masonry, concrete, and structural steel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in construction inspection and testing.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations.
