About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Caregiver Specialist to support individuals in Level 2 residential programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for providing excellent care and assistance in activities of daily living while promoting independence and skills training.

Job Description

Job Summary: The Caregiver Specialist will provide personalized support and assistance to individuals with daily intervention, supervision, and skills training in all activities of daily living within a home environment and in the community. This includes assisting with moderate physical needs and accommodations as required.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support and assistance with skills training in activities of daily living.
  • Create opportunities for individuals to develop their skills and foster independence.
  • Implement services according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and Bridgewell policies and procedures.
  • Assist individuals with medical, clinical, and financial needs.
  • Transport and accompany individuals as needed to and from medical, recreational, and other activities outside the program.
  • Maintain required documentation according to regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies.
  • Assist individuals in accessing resources and recreational opportunities in the community.
  • Administer medications according to MAP regulations as applicable.
  • Maintain core training certifications including FA/CPR, PABC, and MAP.
  • Develop positive relationships with guardians, family members, and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  1. A high school diploma or GED is required; an Associate's degree or DSP Certification is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities is preferred.
  3. Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
