Job Summary

We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to assist in the preparation and care of surgical patients. As a member of our team, you'll work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare operating rooms with appropriate instrumentation, equipment, and supplies.
  • Establish and maintain a sterile field, ensuring the team maintains a sterile environment.
  • Assist with teaching newly hired technologists and student technologists.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and apply basic knowledge of instrumentations to several cases.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff members, and physicians.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or maintains an accredited Surgical Technologist certification (NCCT or NBSTSA).
  • Or, provides evidence of the successful completion of an appropriate training program for Surgical Technology in the United States Military.
  • Ability to adapt to changes within the unit and work effectively under pressure in a stressful environment.

Duke Raleigh Hospital is a 204-bed hospital that has been part of Duke Health since 1998. We offer a comprehensive array of services, including cancer, cardiovascular, neuroscience, advanced gastrointestinal, and wound healing care.

Surgical Technologists are eligible for a $10,000 Commitment Bonus and relocation bonuses are also available.
