As an Outreach Specialist, you will play a vital role in connecting, serving, and empowering WWP Alumni and their families.
Your Key Responsibilities: As an Outreach Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Engaging Warriors: Engage warriors and family members through local connection program events and opportunities.
- Coordinating Outreach: Coordinate outreach efforts to veterans and service members.
- Planning Local Events: Plan local or regional events and activities for the benefit of Alumni and their families.
- Developing Virtual Programming: Develop and facilitate virtual programming content via Zoom, Facebook Live, and other technology-based platforms.
- Executing Event Details: Coordinate details for and execute Alumni events and activities, providing networking, camaraderie-building, and family bonding opportunities.
- Assessing Needs: Assess the needs of Alumni and connect them with WWP programs and services that will assist with their long-term recovery and empowerment.
- Mentoring and Networking: Regularly communicate and network with wounded warriors, serving as a resource and mentor.
- Building Relationships: Establish effective working relationships and work collaboratively with WWP teammates.
- Fiscal Responsibility: Utilize expense controls and seek cost-saving opportunities to manage budget effectively.
- Representing WWP: Support WWP by serving as a local representative at events and referring Alumni to appropriate WWP programs, resources, or staff.
- Developing Community Support: Present WWP vision and values to the community, communicating the benefits of WWP programs and services, and inspire community involvement and support.
- Data Management: Maintain current and accurate data in WWP intranet electronic tracking systems, collecting and reporting results and performance metrics for Alumni events and activities.
- Building Partnerships: Develop and build relationships with military-focused nonprofit organizations and community groups, locating wounded warriors who have not had contact with WWP and introducing WWP's programs and services.
