About the Position

The Software Engineering Institute (SEI) is a world-class organization that has significant impact on software engineering. We are seeking an Associate Reverse Engineer Researcher to join our Threat Analysis directorate, working with cutting-edge technologies and experts to solve tough problems for the government and nation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth reverse engineering of malicious code, identifying vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Design and develop new analysis methods and tools, collaborating with the broader security community.
  • Document results in reports, presentations, and technical exchanges, communicating effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles and practices, with experience in reverse engineering software binaries.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with C/C++, low-level programming, computer architecture, and common assembly languages (Intel x86, Intel x64, ARM, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of experience or Master's degree with 1+ year of experience.
