About the Role:

As a Speech Language Pathologist PRN, you will be responsible for providing a continuum of services to patients with neurological, swallowing, speech-language, cognitive, pragmatic, voice, and other cognitive-related disorders. You will work in an interdisciplinary approach to promote and restore optimal health and well-being to patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Act responsible for a continuum of services providing care to patients with neurological, swallowing, speech-language, cognitive, pragmatic, voice, and other cognitive-related disorders.
  • Utilize the rehab process to promote and restore optimal health and well-being of the patient.
  • Assume personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.

Qualifications:

  • Two years of work experience providing direct patient care in an inpatient or outpatient setting preferred.
  • Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
  • Master's degree in speech-language therapy with a Certificate of Clinical Competence.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Current Speech Language Pathologist Certification with the State of Colorado.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association.
  • Physical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly).

Work Environment:

This PRN acute SLP works between the hours of 8:00am and 4:30pm. Our team does rotate weekend coverage. You can plan on covering 3 weekends in a 12-week schedule. There is a holiday requirement for our PRN's. You will need to cover 1 summer and 1 winter holiday. We are looking for someone with MBS experience and that is FEES certified.
