Truck Porter Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Truck Porter to join our team at Reefer Peterbilt. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth movement and parking of trucks on our lot.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greeting and Presenting Customers

Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers with a smile and presenting them respectfully.

Truck Movement and Parking

Move trucks between the dealership's display area, workshop, storage facility, and pick-up point, ensuring efficient and safe transportation.

Vehicle Accountability

Account for all trucks on the lot, ensuring accurate tracking and maintenance of vehicle records.

Cleanliness and Maintenance

Ensure the cleanliness of truck interiors and exteriors, perform basic maintenance tasks, and maintain a tidy lot environment.

Additional Duties

Drive off-site to run dealership errands, shuttle customers, and perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Education and Certification

High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Driving Skills

Ability to drive manual transmission and assume responsibility for valuable property.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take accurate notes and lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Schedule

Willingness to work irregular business hours, including evenings and weekends.
