This role involves the physical handling, loading, and unloading of various products and materials for storage and distribution purposes. While forklift experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, load, unload, count, weigh, measure, code, and store materials from freight vehicles.
  • Utilize appropriate material handling tools and equipment, including hand trucks, pallet jacks, dollies, and forklifts.
  • Open and unwrap crates, boxes, cartons, and other containers using tools such as hammers and cutting devices.
  • Secure materials on pallets for distribution through wrapping and sealing.
  • Report any discrepancies in receiving to the designated supervisor or manager.
  • Assist in spotting trucks, freight checking, and checking in inbound freight from vendors.
  • Help maintain an accurate inventory of stock as it is received or issued, including stock rotation.
  • Assess and report any damage to shipments received.
  • Maintain cleanliness in work areas and ensure equipment is orderly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Stage outgoing orders and manage inventory control and warehouse organization.
  • Pack and ship products daily, ensuring deadlines are met.
Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience as a Material Handler or Warehouse Associate is preferred, with knowledge of inventory systems and proper storage methods.

Education/Certification: A High School Diploma or GED is required. A valid driver's license with a good driving record is necessary, along with forklift certification.

Physical Requirements: Candidates must be able to stand for the majority of the shift and frequently lift weights ranging from 25 to 75 pounds, with occasional lifting of over 75 pounds. Physical participation in resets, remodels, and reconstruction projects is also required.
