About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Optum. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Integrate scientific knowledge, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to provide safe and accurate procedures with compassion.
  • Recognize patient conditions essential for the successful completion of procedures, demonstrating an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Exercise individual thought, judgment, and discretion in the performance of procedures, adapting assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate unique patient needs.
  • Relay and document written and electronic orders in the patient's medical record, corroborating patient clinical history with procedure information.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring proper identification and formatting, and providing education to patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
  • Perform ongoing quality assurance activities, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiological Sciences.
  • Current ARRT (R)(M) Registry and MRT certification by the Texas Medical Board.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist/Mammography Technologist.
  • Tuberculosis screening and proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis.
