Job Overview:
Streamline Industrial Group is in search of a proficient and experienced Electrical Systems Supervisor to guide our skilled team in executing a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in electrical systems, outstanding leadership capabilities, and the aptitude to manage and coordinate tasks effectively. The Electrical Systems Supervisor will oversee the installation, upkeep, and repair of electrical systems while ensuring compliance with codes, safety standards, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of electricians.
- Effectively schedule and allocate tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Foster and enforce a culture of safety on job sites, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
- Plan and conduct daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) meetings. Enforce and follow all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) mandates.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and plans. Generate Requests for Information (RFI) when necessary.
- Pre-plan materials and create material requests.
- Coordinate material deliveries, site handling, storage, inspection, inventory, and placement of materials and equipment on the job site.
- Schedule and attend job site meetings with stakeholders as required.
- Generate Daily Reports that accurately reflect daily performance on-site.
- Notify the Construction Manager or Project Manager of any job site issues.
- Update and complete Redline/As-built drawings to accurately document any deviations from plans.
- Identify potential change orders and communicate that information to the Project Manager for processing.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
- Provide guidance and training to junior team members to support skill development and performance improvement.
- Expect to work 50-60 hours per week depending on project demands.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality and precision of electrical work.
- Address and resolve any challenges that may arise during projects.
- Collaborate with local agencies when necessary to schedule and perform building inspections.
Safety Compliance:
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety within the team.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
- Conduct safety meetings and training sessions to keep the team informed about best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership role (Superintendent or General Foreman) within the electrical sector.
- Active Journeyman license in Texas (or applicable state).
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety standards.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in computer applications including MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, Bluebeam or Adobe, and Procore.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position with expected hours from Monday to Saturday, 7 AM to 5:30 PM, with availability for overtime.
Travel:
Travel is anticipated for this position.
