AP Financial Analyst

NFC is seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to enhance our financial operations team. In this role, you will be instrumental in overseeing the accounts payable cycle, ensuring that all invoices and payments are processed with precision and timeliness. Your duties will include maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and collaborating with various stakeholders to uphold the financial integrity of our organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Invoice Management:
  • Examine and validate invoices for correctness and adherence to company standards.
  • Input invoices into the financial system with appropriate coding.
  • Align invoices with purchase orders and address any inconsistencies.
• Payment Administration:
  • Prepare and execute electronic payments and transfers.
  • Organize and facilitate check runs.
  • Reconcile accounts payable entries.
• Vendor Relations:
  • Maintain comprehensive vendor records with current documentation.
  • Engage with vendors regarding payment questions and discrepancies.
  • Foster and sustain positive vendor relationships.
• Reconciliation and Reporting:
  • Reconcile the accounts payable sub-ledger with the general ledger.
  • Assist in the month-end closing activities and report generation.
  • Create financial reports pertinent to accounts payable.
• Regulatory Compliance and Auditing:
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and organizational policies.
  • Support both internal and external audits related to accounts payable.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audit requirements.
• Process Enhancement:
  • Identify and implement improvements for operational efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or comparable positions.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong grasp of fundamental accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational capabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Exhibits a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.
