Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II to join our team at ICONMA. As a Phlebotomist II, you will be responsible for collecting and processing blood samples from patients in a fast-paced laboratory or hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process blood samples from patients using various techniques, including venipuncture and capillary puncture.
  • Label and store specimens according to established procedures.
  • Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure accurate labeling.
  • Centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
  • Package specimens for transport and store them according to required temperature.
  • Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
  • Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced site, and the ideal candidate will have experience with higher volumes. The Phlebotomist II will be floating throughout their shift, so reliability and a good driving history are essential. The candidate can expense their floating mileage from Client locations.
